Parenting time is an important topic and there are several different types. The first one is equal parenting time. This is where both parents have an equal amount of time with the child/children. This type of parenting time is usually a week on/week off schedule.
The second type is non-equal parenting time which means that one parent has more parenting time over the other parent. The parent with the main parenting time is considered the “primary residential parent.” These plans vary case by case.
The third type is long distance parenting time which involves one parent living outside of Arizona and the other parent resides inside Arizona. The other parent may not live in Arizona due to business or other numerous reasons. Usually, the parent that lives out of state will utilize their parenting time during the summer months.
